Lestrade looked up at the three with a curious look. ” That’s called a Philopher. I told you about this creature some months ago….. You weren’t listening were you Sherlock.”
Sherlock rolled his eyes and sighed.
” Anyways. It’s a shapeshifter,” continued the officer. ” It can take human…
Connie cleared her throat. “Someone, this creature, is after us, and, we need to stop it. We can we get this knife?” Connie focuses on the man.
The officer sat back on his chair and took in a deep breath. ” I have that knife.” He then slid the silver knife across the table and into the girl’s hand. ” John, is this all true?”
The doctor nodded. ” Sadly, yes. I wish I could say no. We’ve all somehow been attacked by it already and now we’re just waiting for its next move.”
Lestrade nodded. ” Fine then. Good luck and becareful, alright?” The three left the building with the silver knife at hand.
Connie looked down at the knife, as it shined in the morning sun. Something, weird symbols were carved on the side, Connie continued to stare at it, unable to make out the symbols. “…weird….” she whispered.
” Are those symbols?” asked John as he walked beside Connie and took a good look at the knife. ” May I?” Connie handed him the knife and gazed at the carvings on the handle. ” I can’t make them out. Perhaps they need to be put into fire first. (LOTR reference )” laughed John.
” Oh give me that!” said Sherlock as he grabbed the knife. He observed it for no longer than twenty seconds and threw it back to John. ” It’s just Runes. Nothing to worry about and that was a waste of my time.”
” But it might be important.”
” What’s important is to find out what Germaine is up to!” declared Sherlock at the top of his lungs.
” Yes alright fine… but please stop screaming. Everybody can hear you.” muttered John, sheepishly as he put his hands into his pockets and tried to hide his head.
Connie leaned her head on his shoulder and gave him a comforting smile. Suddenly the sky began to darken. “A solar eclipse?!” Connie looked up at the sun that was no longer visible.
Sherlock looked up at the sun that was black as ash. ” No, it’s not a solar eclipse. The next one was supposed to be a year from now. It’s Germaine…” said Sherlock.
” What is she doing?” asked John as he squinted his eyes at the sun.
” For once… I have no idea.” remarked Sherlock.
“I-I think we should find somewhere safe to hide out. Somethings telling me she’s gotten stronger, and she’s coming. Have any ideas for a safe zone?” she put the knife in her pocket and looked at the two. The ground began to shake.
The earthquake wasn’t a big one but it was enough to put people in shock. John fell to the floor but Connie helped him back up again. ” Well Sherlock, where is somewhere you feel safe?”
” I know exactly where.” smirked Sherlock.
The three ran three blocks down, passed an alleyway, across the street, and into a tall building. The three entered a room to find Molly scared out of her wits. ” Are you alright Molly?”
” Yeh..yes I’m fine.” she gasped. ” What’s going on?”
” We’re just hiding out here so that if we need anything everything is here. You can stay if you’d like, Molly.” shrugged Sherlock, nonchalantly.
